Delaware is the second smallest state in the United States in terms of land size. It borders the Atlantic Ocean, New Jersey, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. It is a popular state for students to live because of its proximity to the major metropolitan areas located in the New England area, such as Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. The climate in Delaware is moderate, even in the winter. The very first of the original 13 states, Delaware has a rich history and a population that is proud to call the state their home.
